Day 1 – Shaikh Yūsuf Badāt – IFT Ramadān Special Program – Islamic Foundation of Toronto

Shaikh Yūsuf Badāt, Imam of the Islamic Foundation of Toronto, is livestreaming a daily 30 minute pre-Iftar program everyday during Ramadan 2020.

During the first week of Ramadan, program begins at 7:15 p.m. then for the rest of the month, programs begin at 7:45 p.m. EDT.

We cordcutted Cable TV last year and now watch TV at home using an IPTV box.

The IPTV box brings in thousands of channels.

One of those is the EAWAZ TV LIVE Channel.

Had no idea I already had this channel. Found and favourited it quickly.

Program ended at 7:45 p.m.

Two minutes later at 7:47 p.m. today’s Reflections On Islam Special Ramadan Daily Radio Program began.

We tuned into Reflections On Islam, listened until they aired Adhan Al Maghrib, The Call to Sunset Prayer, and we broke our fast.

This was our Iftar Spread from which we broke fast on this First Ramadan of 2020.

For the past ten years of doing this 30 Masjids in 30 Days, I would take a photo of me holding the date which I bit into to break my fast.

This was tonight’s break fast date plus a glass of Rooh Afza made with milk.

With the Pandemic in Progress, and Masjids in Lockdown, this year the project is 30 Masjids At Home in 30 Days of Ramadan 2020.

So tonight’s Salat Al Maghrib, The Prayer after Sunset, we prayed at home in the living room.

Alhumdulilah.
