Moonsighting for Rajab 1432
Thursday, 2 June 2011:
Saudi Arabia:
Not Seen: HiMY SYeD (MCW member) from Makkah, Saudi Arabia reported:
Alhumdullilah, this moonsighting report is coming from just outside the Kigh Fadh gate of masjid-al-haram in Makkah.
I am performing Umrah today and staying here into the weekend. Will try to report as I can.
Tonight, standing in the plaza area between the Haram and the giant clock tower, scanning the sky as best as I can, I cannot see any new crescent moon.
InshAllah, will keep you Br. Khalid and your ongoing Moonsighting.com project in my duas.
Friday, 3 June 2011:
Saudi Arabia:
Seen: Luqmaan Williams (MCW member) from Ta’if reported:
I saw the crescent with a fellow believer and colleague in Ta’if, Saudi Arabia on Friday, June 3rd.
Seen: HiMY SYeD (MCW member) from Makkah, Saudi Arabia reported:
On June 3, after praying maghrib on the second floor of the Masjid-al-Haram in Makkah, I walked to balcony viewing area to search the sky for the new moon.
From the second floor no new moon was seen, I could indeed see much of the sky yet could not see 100 percent of the sky.
The flood lighting may have played some visual interference.
I made my way to the rooftop of the Haram and alhumdulillah, the moment I exited the stairs and looked to my left, there it was: a hairline thin silver new moon crescent.
In short, this is a Positive New Moonsighting report from the rooftop of the Masjid-al-Haram in Makkah for Friday June 3 2011.
Earlier, spotted New Crescent Moon from rooftop of Masjid-al-Haram #Makkah after Maghrib Friday. — http://moonsighting.com/1432rjb.html
