St. John’s has two Taraweeh Prayers on this First Night in Ramadan 2016.
Here on Campus, Muslim Students’ Association has arranged for Isha and Taraweeh Prayers in The Landing, a large multi-use space in the Student Centre Building.
Prayers are also being held tonight in Newfoundland’s first and only Masjid on Logy Road. Many people are also there tonight including the MSA President who emailed an invite for to attend the first Iftar of this Ramadan 2016 Fasting Month, tomorrow, Monday evening.
Masjid al-Noor host until last year’s Ramadan hosted Public Iftars during the weekends, but not on weekdays.
Here on Campus, the MUN MSA hosts free Public Iftars Monday to Friday, but not on weekends.
Isha Prayer is at 11 p.m.
Taraweeh is 8 Rakats and tag-team being lead by two brothers with very clear and precise pronounciations. The second brother who lead Taraweeh is from Libya.
