Day 15 – Reflections on Islam Radio Program

On CJRN AM 710, half an hour before Toronto Maghrib local sunset time, Reflections on Islam Radio program broadcasts from Niagara Falls into the Greater Toronto Area.

Tonight I stayed home, listened to Imam Ezz E. Gad as he hosted his yearly radio show, and broke fast when the Adhan was broadcast over the air.

He also hosts a Reflections on Islam TV program throughout the year.

This is my crappy recording attempt in holding the blackberry close to a clock radio.

Please forgive the quality.

InshAllah, if you’re in The GTA, tune in to AM 710, half an hour before maghrib sunset time.

In doing so, you’re joining an entire generation of Toronto’s Muslims, for whom this radio broadcast of the nightly Adhan al Maghrib was how we knew exactly when to break our fast.

what happened ramadan radio program refelection on islam
is it gone for good or tecknical problem

  2. Afraid I don’t know.

Because I have been masjid hopping every day in Ramadan 2012, I have not had a chance to tune in to AM 710 to see if the signal comes in and if Reflections on Islam is being broadcast this year.

CJRN broadcasts from Niagara Falls, so it’s a roll of the dice if you can get their AM signal depending on where you are in the Greater Toronto Area.

If you do find out, please post a comment here for others.

    Ramadan 2012 Mubarak!

  3. Salaamualaikum, we are trying to access this annual Ramadan radio program but have been unable to do so. Kindly advise about troubleshooting. Thank you!

    • I don’t know. This is the first year I am so busy masjid hopping at Maghrib to make 30 masjids happen, I haven’t even had a chance to try to tune in to 710 AM and see if I can get a signal.

InshAllah, if you find Reflections on Islam is still broadcasting this year, please post a note here!

  4. Salam and Ramadan Mubarak
Unfortunately the Reflection on Islam program has been discontinued on the radio. But you can still listen to it on http://www.reflectionsonislam.tv half hour before sunset time.
